Name your style.
Be first when it starts.

We build the Brighton timetable from demand, not guesswork: each style launches once enough people have raised a hand for it. Joining a list costs nothing and commits you to nothing — it just means the start-date email reaches you before the class fills.

  • £10 a class or £32 for four weeks — the same for every style
  • Beginner-first, adults only, no partner needed anywhere
  • Central studios near the station once each class goes live
Class interest list

Six quick fields. When your style has a start date and a place in it, you'll hear from us.

You're joining the interest list for this class — we'll email you when it has a start date and a place for you.

Twenty styles on the launchpad.

Every style · same prices

Each style has its own page — who it suits, what the first hour feels like, what goes on your feet. Join the list on any of them. Partner dances rotate partners as standard; street, commercial and K-Pop bring the cardio; ballet, tap and jazz welcome back everyone who quit at eleven and regrets it; and the Latin pair — salsa and bachata — are perennially the fastest lists to fill. Wherever you land, the first hour is built for the person who walked in alone.

–Two prices, no secrets

A tenner to try.
£32 to get good.

Most dance schools in Brighton keep prices behind an enquiry form; ours are the headline. Drop in for £10 whenever a class is running, or take four consecutive weeks of one style for £32 and watch the routine build. No memberships, no terms, nothing renewing behind your back.

Launched by demand, not by tradition

Brighton is full of brilliant dance nights and long-standing schools. What it lacks is a straight answer: what does it cost, when does it start, can a total beginner walk in alone? Our answer is on this page, and every class begins life as a list of people who asked for it.

When your style reaches critical mass, you get the email: the evening, the studio address, what to wear, how to pay. First refusal goes to the list, in order.

Before your first class.

The honest answers, including the ones about classes that haven't launched yet.

Are these adult classes, or a kids' school with an adult hour?+

Adults, seventeen to seventy-five, front and centre — no grades, no shows, no uniform. Some styles will also open younger sessions as demand builds; pick the age band on the form and we'll match you when the right class launches.

How does the interest list actually work?+

Choose a style, leave your details, done. The moment that class has a teacher, a room and a start date, everyone on its list gets the email first — evening, address, what to wear. It's how we launch classes people actually want, instead of guessing at a timetable.

What will a class cost when it runs?+

£10 to drop into any single session, or £32 for four consecutive weeks of the same class — £8 a time. The prices are on this page on purpose; most Brighton schools make you enquire to find out.

Do I need to bring a partner for the partner styles?+

No — in salsa, bachata, ballroom and tango the room rotates partners as standard, so solo dancers are the norm. Couples who'd rather stay paired just say so on the night.

Total beginner. Genuinely welcome, or politely tolerated?+

Built for you. Every class launches with a beginner-first hour, and mixed levels are taught so newcomers follow the outline while returners add polish. Nobody demonstrates alone; nobody is graded.

What do I wear, and is kit provided?+

Something you can move in and clean trainers cover almost everything; styles with special footwear say so on their page. We don't lend or sell shoes or kit, so bring your own — plus water.

Whereabouts in Brighton will classes run?+

Central — the aim is always a studio within easy reach of Brighton station and the main bus routes, with the exact address sent to the interest list when the class launches. No trekking to an industrial estate. Hove, Kemptown and anywhere on a main bus route stay realistic for a 6.30 start, and evening parking near the centre is workable after six — the launch email spells out the practical bits so the only decision left is what to wear.

Can I join lists for more than one style?+

Absolutely — join three lists, take the first email that lands, or all of them. There's no commitment in a signup and no charge until you're actually standing in a class you chose to attend.
